Our resident 6th grader says they teach this tactic — “just switch to something really random” — when you’re being bullied. I suppose this official was once a bullied 6th grader.

Well what happens is that some people discover that there is a button and all you have to whenever you get in trouble is press the button. Caught fooling around with your mistress? Press the Jesus button! Caught defrauding the public out of millions in taxpayer monies? Press the “Taxes are theft” button.
The problem is that it actually works more often than not.
WTF? I guess Joe Ortworth has never heard of separation of church and state…
