I’m Still Feeling the Joy
Schadenfreude!
It’s political incorrectness and just plain spitefulness, Muppet-style! Surely the ‘baggers would approve.

“Wow, that IS German!”
Awesome knowing that someone actually wrote a song using that word. Gives me hope for humanity.
No, no, no! That’s really not nice. No one would laugh if Grover dropped cakes or Big Bird fell on ice skates. We’d rush to his side and help him up.
And in this case we shouldn’t gloat but just go on about our business. You know what my mama says: “Just because someone else acts like a jackass doesn’t mean you have to.”
Besides, it’s a really awful song.
But…but…but…the other muppets WERE laughing when Grover dropped the cakes! And the little girl DID go to Big Bird to help him up.
As for the gloating…ok, maybe it’s unseemly. But it’s not as if I’m putting up photos of any of them photoshopped as Hitler. There’s a difference in my jackassery and theirs, I assert. For one thing, mine is funny, and funny goes a long way. Dad once told me “no one likes a smartass” but that is totally untrue. People LOVE smartasses; it’s DUMBASSES and ASSHOLES they can’t stand. Being a smartass is not in the same ballpark at all. But I’ll accept that it’s “not nice.” On the other hand, as I believe I’ve pointed out on numerous occassions, I’m not a very nice person in a whole lot of ways.
You need to be able to tag your comments with your “Be nice!” tag.
And also, I’m sorry you didn’t like the song. I actually thought some of the lyrics were funny, though I’ll grant that it’s nowhere in the league of greatness that is Jonathan Colton’s “RE: Your Brains.” I’ll try to do better next time, but there are only so many obscure educational videos out there for learning new foreign words – and even less for the ones that are timely and topical.
