I Got Your Snuff Pic Right Here, Wingers

As predicted in my previous post about the demise of OBL, the usual suspects are all het up over the lack of a gory snuff photo of said deceased douchebag, which they can then pore over for signs and portents of photoshopped fraud or other imaginary skullduggery.

Opinions in wingnuttia vary from the Apollo 11 model (“it never happened…it was all STAGED!!!”) to the rather unique complaint raised by “Gateway Pundit” Jim Hoft, whose panties are all a-twist because Obama “allows” photos of the flag-draped coffins of American soldiers killed in the line of duty to be taken and published, but he won’t allow a picture of a guy missing half his head to be released.  It’s EXACTLY THE SAME THING, dontchaknow, and never you mind that a Freedom of Information challenge won in 2006 made the determination on whether or not photos of the flag-draped coffins could be taken and published.  It’s just one more example of how much Obama hates America.

Hoft’s unique complaint can be found here; his comments section will either make you weep or cheer for mankind’s apparently rapidly-approaching demise.  Among the gems:  “Someone at New York Mag. did a peice where Obama runs guns to mexican Drug cartels to use against the boarder agents he forces to disarm. THis is a madman in office, a lunatic Jihadi, who probably saved Osama in the raid,” which rather encourages me towards the latter camp.

That’s Hoft there on the left, and if he looks familiar to you, it’s probably because you’ve seen an illustration of him next to the entry for “duh” in your dictionary.

But he’s not the only one, and, alas, I fear that like the birth certificate “controversy” this one too will fester, becoming ever more toxic, until snuff pics of the dead Osama are finally released.  Then, like the “long form” birth certificate, they too will be denounced as frauds and forgeries by those who wish to believe they’ve been hoaxed.  I have to give them this much – they have been hoaxed, repeatedly for decades, but unfortunately they aren’t sharp enough to see what the real hoaxes are and who has perpetrated them.

So I’ve decided to save us all a lot of trouble, and just go ahead and show the picture now, since we all know that sooner or later the nutters are going to get their way.  Here then, shown in its most prominent location on the internets yet (which means that still no one will see it) is the official death photo of Osama bin Laden:

Whaddaya know, it’s no more gruesome than a picture of a flag-draped coffin.  This may mark the one and only time Jim Hoft has ever been right about anything.  Truly, I fear for my sanity.
